Favorite sport: reading Favorite afternoon activity: reading Last thing I do before going to bed: read until I can't keep my eyes open Likes: Susi, reading, cats, Christmas, driving, couches, feather pillows, my stuffed bunny, the internet, movie theaters, TV shows on DVD, airplanes, singing in the shower, big rooms full of books (like bookstores, libraries, and my apartment) Dislikes: things that cut down on my reading time, traffic, barking dogs, alarm clocks Mini bio: I'm not yet 30, thank goodness. I often get mistaken for someone much younger but that's because I never learned to dress myself in anything but jeans and t-shirts. If you're thinking of turning me into What Not To Wear, please do so. I coerced Tess into moving south to Oklahoma to share an apartment with me, making doing our spotlights a lot easier, should we ever decide to do one again. I feed my book habit (and myself, occasionally) working at a used book store. I've been told I read more than many carbon based life forms. I've got two cats, three computers, and a lot of books. Something I said about books: "Sci fi doesn't lead to superstition, growing up in America does. Sci fi leads to me watching the moon and telling it how much I would miss it if it were gone." Something someone else said about books: "She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain." - Louisa May Alcott |
Favorite sport: competitive page turning Favorite afternoon activity: napping, though it's been sorely lacking in my life lately Last thing I do at night: set my alarms. The ones on the clock, that is. Likes: reading, talking, Chinese food, post apocalyptic anything, watching television, cats, laughing uproariously, singing, my shiny laptop Dislikes: celery, being shushed Mini bio: I tried coming up with something witty and clever, but I'm much too busy. I'm older than dirt (and Merrin), and while you may think the extra years would give me an edge on Merrin, you'd be wrong. She's the intellectual one, I'm the one who'll be saying "Whee! Shiny!" Pretty much my only qualification for doing this website is my overwhelming love for books. And maybe the fact that I worked at a library. Possibly. Other things you may feel the need to know about me: I used to live in a small Midwestern town until Merrin forced me to move to Oklahoma, I recently graduated (again) with a degree in Education, and I'm the crazy aunt. (But in a cool way, not the kind that makes you eat squash with no brown sugar or yells at you for sitting backwards in a recliner or talks to her 25 cats.) Quote: "I cannot live without books."
